Congratulations to the Luirette family. They adopted Cody yesterday. His new name is James! Cody is an adorable, sweet-tempered Shih Tzu and Havanase mix. He weighs 13 lbs 8 ounces and is 1 year old. Cody is crate trained and house trained. He knows how to "sit" is learning other basic obedience. He was rescued in South Korea from a very high kill rate shelter. Mixed breed dogs have an extremely difficult time getting adopted in Korea, so we brought cute Cody to California to find his forever home.

Cody is in excellent health. He was heartworm tested negative, neutered and fully vaccinated in South Korea. His heart, knees and hips are good. His teeth show slight tartar and some wear on his canines from chewing. One of his molars has a small crack, but the vet feels this happened a long time ago, and since it hasn't caused any infection, it does not need to be removed.

Cody would be the perfect companion for many situations - single, working, stay at home mom, family with children, retired, in an apartment or a house with a yard. He is friendly with strangers and with other dogs. He showed very little interest in the cat at the vet's office, so he would probably be fine if you have cats. He has a great personality and is very cute!
