Abby the Papillon mix went to her furever home today! The Arroyo family fell in love with this little cutie pie and the feeling is very mutual! Abby (now Nina) is loving her new family and new home! She's already running around and checking out her home. She is such a sweet and funny gal and will bring so much joy to her family.
We are so happy for Nina and the Arroyo family and wish them many many happy years together.
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Breed: Papillon/Maltese Mix Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White) Age: Puppy Size: Small 25 lbs or less Sex: Female
Weight: 10 lbs Age: 7 months Personality: Very friendly, playful, extremely sweet, affectionate. She is energetic and can jump anywhere. Abby loves to explore and go behind the sofa, TV, and find a way to be on the dining table. She will lick everything, so needs supervision all the time and put in a play pen when unattended. She is teething right now and will need plenty of appropriate chew toys, so she doesn't use your hands!
Coat: Short, silky, soft, does shed a little
Training: Knows how to sit. Food motivated and smart, so easy to train.
Potty trained: 50% and still in process. Foster mom is training her and reports that her potty times are predictable. She is very smart and learns quickly!
Health: Excellent health. Ears, eyes, heart, hips, knees good. Has an overbite.
History: Abby's original owner dumped her at a pet shop in Korea. The pet shop owner didn't want her and told people she would sell her to a farmer's market that was known to be a dangerous place for dogs ending up in the dog meat trade. A nice lady saved her upon hearing this news and tried to find her a furever home. Sadly this cute puppy didn't get any interest from potential adopters, since she was a mixed breed. So here she is!
Fostered in: West Hollywood, CA (Southern California applications only.)
Type of home: Would make an excellent family dog since she loves kids. She would also make a great companion for a single person who wants to spend time with their dog. Abby will need an adopter willing to train her, since she is just a puppy, but she is very quick to learn. She will likely stay small, so she would be an excellent dog to take with you traveling! Abby has a wonderful personality and would make a good candidate to be trained for therapy dog work.
