Personality: Checkers is an affectionate boy who loves nothing more than to be by your side or on your lap. If you take him with you on your errands he will be your best wingman. Squeaky toys are his favorite and he’ll fetch them for you any time!
Coat: Minimal shedding, will not need grooming other than an occasional bath

Type of home: Checkers will do well as the only dog or with other doggie friends. Oh, and if you like to go for walks his little legs will be right there with you.

All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:
1. Adoption application review by WHDR board
2. Adoption application approval
3. Meet and greet
4. Home safety check
5. Final approval and adoption finalized
