Tolstoy, the white Mini Schnauzer puppy, has been adopted by his new furever family! Tolstoy's new name is Tag. Tag will be joining his brother Derby (a black Mini Schnauzer) and mom, Marilyn, in having fun with agility! Congratulations and welcome to the WHDR family!
Tolstoy is an adorable 14 pound miniature schnauzer. He was born April 7, 2014 and is 9 months old. Tolstoy is good with dogs and kids. He needs an active individual or family who is willing to exercise, train and groom this beautiful boy. Tolstoy was surrendered by his owner, who was unable to keep a dog in their apartment. He is very friendly, playful and incredibly sweet. He is potty trained, although not 100%, as he is still learning. His foster mom takes him to a weekly basic obedience class, and we recommend that he continue training. He is playful and inquisitive and still very much a puppy!
Miniature Schnauzers are low-shedding dogs that need regular grooming. They are highly intelligent and easy to train. The ideal guard dog, they have a fearless streak and will bark when they sense a threat. Miniature Schnauzers are not prone to random or excessive noise. They are high energy dogs who need regular exercise and activity, but they will reward you with about 15 years of unconditional love and loyalty.
