Someone is having the best weekend in his life! It's Hachi the jindo mix!
Hachi (now Yoshi),everyone's favorite at Imperial Animal Hospital where he stayed went to his furever home yesterday!
The Young family fell in love with this beautiful gentleman and said he was the one. Hachi(Yoshi) who was saved from a high kill shelter in Korea where he was scheduled to be euthanized now has a loving family to call his own!
We are so happy for Yoshi and his new family!
Name : Hachi Weight: 40 lbs Age: 3 Years Male Neutered Breed : Jindo / Shiba Inu mix
Personality: Hachi is currently staying at Imperial Animal Hospital and looking for a foster or furever home. He is the most shy one out of the Jindo mixes we currently have. Hachi was also saved from a high kill shelter in South Korea where he was scheduled to be euthanized. He is little timid and needs some time to open up. He is sweet and gentle and will be a great companion dog once he comes out of his shell.
Coat: The Jindo are naturally incredibly clean dogs. They have self-cleaning coats and do not need to be bathed frequently. They even groom themselves like cats. The downside of this is that they also shed profusely, especially in hot weather with their double coat. Regular brushing will reduce excessive shedding. These dogs have no special grooming needs, making them fairly low maintenance..
Training: He is very smart and a quick learner.
Potty trained: Yes
Health: Healthy with up to date vaccination
History: Hachi was saved from a high kill shelter in South Korea where he was scheduled to be euthanized. Jindo mixes often end up at a high kill shelter or being a victim of the dog meat because there are too many in Korea.
Fostered in: Imperial Animal Hospital in La Mirada.
Type of home: Jindos are very intelligent, active and love to make a strong bond with their family. He will do great with a family with kids or other dogs who can spent time with him or an active single.
