Weight:          60 lbs 

 

Age:              2 years old     

 

Personality:     Very playful, energetic, smart and sweet. He is friendly to people and other dogs. He is also good with kids but due to his size and strength, adult supervision is necessary when interacting with small children. 

 

Coat:             Flat-Coated Retrievers are relatively easy to maintain and require only weekly brushing unless the dog is shedding. Then you'll probably want to brush daily to keep the amount of loose hair floating around under control. You can trim the ears, feet, belly, and tail tip for neatness. Bathe as needed.

 

Training:          He is learning basics.  This is a slow-maturing breed, which means that he will act puppylike for several years beyond physical maturity. Black bear will need continuous training. 

 

Potty trained:  Leaning from his foster home.  Since he is very smart, he will learn very quickly.

 

Health:       Healthy and up to date with vaccination      

 

History:      Black bear was rescued from South Korea.

 

Fostered in:     La Habra.

 

Type of home:  A family or single with an active life style. He has a lot of energy and is very strong. He will need a lot of exercise and will be a perfect hiking/jogging partner.

All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.

5. Final approval and adoption finalized
